For registering a .eu domain name, an individual, organisation, or company must:

• Have its registered office, central administration, or principal place of business within once of the European Union Member States, Iceland, Liechtenstein, or Norway
• Be an organisation established within the European Community without prejudice to the application of national law
• Be a natural person resident with the EU Community

Domain names can be up to 63 characters, with a minimum of two characters, and can contain letters (a to z), numbers (0 to 9), and hyphens (except at the beginning or end of the domain name). You cannot register domain names with special characters such as & and #.

Renewal restrictions

You must renew your .eu domain name by its expiration date.

Transfers-away requirements

You'll need to contact your new registrar to initiate the transfer and to get more details on the transfer process.

EURid charges a non-refundable fee to transfer .eu domain names. 

DNSSEC

You can configure a maximum of four (4) DS records for your .eu domain name.
